Tumbling

Tumbling is a batch surface pre-treatment at which friction between the casting and tumbling media occurs due to vibration motion in the tumbling trough. A liquid with the degreasing agent is supplied into the trough. Material, size and shape of the tumbling media depends on the casting and requirements on the final surface quality. The result is more homogeneous surface quality. Tumbling decreases the surface roughness by 50 % of the original value.
